Security
Unauthorized attempts to defeat or circumvent security features or functions, to use the Global Science Books (GSB) system/site for other than intended purposes, to deny service to authorized users, to access, obtain, alter, damage, or destroy information, or otherwise interfere with the system/site or its operation are prohibited. Evidence of such acts may be disclosed to law enforcement authorities and result in criminal prosecution under all applicable criminal laws.

E-mail messages/comments
You may choose to provide GSB with personal information, as in an e-mail message containing your comments or questions. GSB uses this information exclusively to improve its service to you or to respond to your request. There are times when your message is forwarded, as an e-mail, to other GSB employees who may be better able to help you. Except for customer-based communication, internal personnel purposes and authorized law enforcement investigations, we do not share any e-mail with any other outside individuals or organizations unless explicit permission to do so has been obtained from the e-mail holder.

Privacy
GSB collects no personal information about you when you visit any of its Web sites (GSB Home Page, GSB Core Page, GSB Japan, GSB Journals or GSB Online), unless otherwise stated, or unless you choose to provide this information to us. However, we collect and store certain information automatically. What we collect and store automatically is: a) the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the domain from which you access the Internet whether yours individually or provided as a proxy by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), b) the date and time you access our sites, c) if necessary, the pages you peruse and d) the Internet address of the Web site from which you linked directly to our sites. We use the summary statistics to help us make our site more useful to visitors, such as assessing what information is of most and least interest to visitors, and for other purposes such as determining the site’s technical design specifications and identifying system performance or problem areas. This information is NOT shared with anyone beyond the GSB support staff to our home/Web pages, except if required by a Law Enforcement investigation, and is used only as a source of anonymous statistical information.

GSB site linking permissions
No entity, institute or individual may link GSB web-sites, use GSB’s logo, or link/use any material from any GSB Web site without explicit written permission. Any material must provide full acknowledgement to the source (Global Science Books) and a link to www.globalsciencebooks.info.
